NOON REQUIEM SERVICE:  Friday, January 27, 2012, in the Chapel.

"JESUS THROUGHT THE CENTURIES: His Place in the History of Culture" Eleanor Ellsworth will lead a small 7-week study group based upon this highly regarded book by historian and theologian, Jaroslav Pelikan. The course begins on Thursday, February 2 at 2 pm-3:30 pm, and goes throught March 15. This is a very limited enrollment, and you should plan to attend each class and purchase the book. THE DIOCESAN CONVENTION - FEBRUARY 10 & 11

FEB. 6 & 13 "MEDITATION FOR CHILDREN," AGES 9-13
Valerie Goodpaster, former Director of Religious Education at St. James will lead this program in the VS room on Monday, February 6 & 13, from 4-5 pm . A brief informative meeting for parents will be held immediately following the 10 am service on Jan. 29th.

SUNDAY, FEBRUARY 19 AT 6 PM IN THE CUVIER CLUB

Following the February 19, 5 pm Evensong, join us from 6 to 7:30 pm for a stimulating evening with The Right Reverend William (Bill) Swing, President and Founder of the United Religions Initiative and served as the Bishop of California for 27 years. 30-HOUR FAMINE - SUNDAY, FEBRUARY 12— BAKE SALE FUNDRAISER!
The St. James Youth will be holding a "30 Hour Famine" bake sale after the 10 am service on Sunday, February 12th.  The 30 Hour Famine is a program of humanitarian organization World Vision, and benefits those who go hungry around the world.  The proceeds will help youth raise funds for the 30 Hour Famine that they will be participating in February 24th-25th at St. James. 
If you would like to bake goods for the sale, or help out in other ways, please let Amy Lajiness know at amy@sjbts.org.
