Youth Ministry

Our Heart - sparking a fire, igniting a passion for Christ.
James 3:5, Jeremiah 20:9

Who We Are

We are youth seeking to fuel the fire for Christ within ourselves. Our ministry is guided by the interests of the young people of our congregation. It is built upon Biblical and theological truths and is centered on community, service, and outreach.

Spark serves our youth in the 5th-7th grade range.

Ignite is geared towards 8th-12th graders.

The youth are led by Katelyn Webster. Click HERE to get to know her. Click HERE to contact her.

When We Meet

Picture
Every Sunday

Spark - upstairs Children’s Library
Ignite - Youth Room

On the 1st, 3rd, and, when applicable, 5th Sunday of the month, 10:00-10:45 am
then join the rest of the congregation for Holy
Communion.
On the 2nd and 4th Sunday’s, the groups meet from 9:00-9:50 am then join the rest of the congregation for the 10:00 am service.

What We Do

Within the context of fun events and sometimes crazy games and activities both at St. James and in the community, the kids are encouraged to engage in hands-on exploration of their faith.
Our goal is to provide youth with a safe, welcoming environment, which provides the freedom and support to ask whatever questions may arise as they deepen their faith in God. In addition to our Sunday morning meets, we engage in tons of other fun events including hikes, bonfires, and service projects.
