How to Upload and Use a Virtual Holiday Background on Zoom
For many of us, connecting with people via a Zoom call has become practically the norm. And though not as good as being in person, one can have some fun along the way with uploading a virtual background to be used, instead of what ever might be behind you when on a call.

1. Find a seasonal image (jpg’s work well) that you would like to use as your backdrop. Be mindful that you have no editing options in Zoom, so ideally pick an image that is about a 2 to 1 ratio horizontal to vertical. Otherwise Zoom crops it indiscriminately.

2. Locate the video camera icon on the zoom meeting page (you’ll probably want to do this before the meeting, if possible). Click on the arrow next to the icon and select “Choose Virtual Background”
3. You’ll see two tabs: “Virtual Backgrounds” or “Video Features”—make sure “Virtual Backgrounds” is selected.

4. Locate and select the "plus" icon on the right hand side of the inset box.
5. Select “Add Image”. It will take you to a file explorer. Locate the holiday image you want to upload. Tap the picture and select “open”.
6. Voila! Your new festive holiday virtual background is present as wallpaper behind you on your screen.
