This week's playlist comes in the form of a brand-new recording released this week. The music of beloved former organist/choirmaster, Gerre Hancock, was recorded by the St. Thomas Choir of Men and Boys to celebrate the legacy of choral music in worship.

Beginning May 30th our later service moves to 10:00 am. The earlier service remains at 8:00 am. So, Sunday, the 23rd, was the final Sunday when we worshiped at 8:00 and 9:00 am. Coffee Hour and Midweek Prayers Coffee is served after both of our in-person services on Sunday. Our coffee hours on Zoom have come to an end. The Thursday noon prayers on Zoom are continuing. I am grateful to all those who created such a safe and comfortable environment. We are in a time of transition. The move back to "normality" will be gradual. Things will be changing week to week. I appreciate your patience as we move back to familiar patterns and please feel free to pass on any comments that you may have. Mark" ![]()

Mother Rebecca has been part of the diocesan effort to provide spiritual care for the large contingent of immigrant girls being housed in the San Diego Convention Center. She reports that the work has been difficult but rewarding and that the Bishop has now hired a part time staff person to oversee this specific outreach in addition to a part time volunteer staff person to coordinate with all our interfaith partners. They are currently trying to recruit more chaplains to be on site and initiating efforts to collect money for care packages for the girls as they leave the convention center. See details below. This week we have a group of three mass settings in the Anglican tradition by the prolific composers, Herbert Howells, Harold Darke, and Kenneth Leighton. Each one takes the same ancient text and brings it to life as a new and fresh artistic expression.
