Christingle Making All ages of parishioners are invited to participate in the making of the Christingles with Fa. Mark. These will be presented to all children at the 3:00 Christmas Eve church service. Please meet in the Parish Hall at 1:00. Christmas music provided. Christmas Eve for Children + Youth Christmas Eve services will be held at 3:00, 5:00 and 8:00 on Saturday, December 24th. The 3:00 service is our dedicated, child-friendly Christingle service. This service will offer a special children’s sermon, presentation of Christingles, and all your favorite Christmas hymns. Nursery will not be offered during our Christmas Eve services. Note: Children are welcome at every service. There will be Children’s Bulletins available at all Christmas Eve services with both the ushers and Leighton. We also always offer Busy Bins, located at the back of the church, for all ages. In addition to Busy Bins, there will be baskets of Christmas books for children to borrow and read during the service.  Christmas Eve Reception
Following the 3:00 Christmas Eve service, we invite everyone to a Christmas reception in the Gallery. We will enjoy cookies, hot beverages, and help you take your family Christmas picture---because honestly, does anyone get a good family Christmas picture before leaving the house for church?! Staying for the 5:00 service too? Hang out with us and enjoy a Christmas craft or write a last minute letter to Santa. It will be a great time to share in the excitement of Christmas! Christmas Break There will be no Sunday School, Youth Groups or Nursery care, December 25th AND Sunday, January 1st. All programs will resume Sunday, January 8th. Children's bulletins, books and Busy Bins will be offered at every service. Please see ushers for more details. Happy Christmas! St. Nicholas visits the service of St. James Episcopal Church on the second Sunday of Advent, Dec. 4, 2022. He tells the story of how he began the tradition of leaving secret gifts for people and ends by giving treats to the encircling children.
