The cultures of East and West. East being the ancient. Bablonia, Assyria, Gilgamish, and kingdoms of ORAL tradition many millennium past that started it all. Hebrews, roots in the past but presented the West ( Greek and Roman) with a bases to use cognitive conduct to formulate the answers to THE question. WHY? Why are we and God? Paul is that intellectual bridge. A VIN diagram helps to illustrate the pros and cons.
The implementation of Artificial Intelligence by G5 in the very near future will render the current form of Cognitive Conduct obsolete , politically incorrect, and subject to reinterpretation. The issue will not be, did Paul mean this or that ? But a redefinition of All The Above. Interesting times we live in.

Yes, I like the idea that Paul served as an intellectual bridge for the cultural gap of the time on these big, theological questions. He could speak from that Greek-educated position while being a Hebrew - no wonder he was called by God. I'm sure others understood this, and that is why his letters were so important from the earliest days.
